Kyushu University Sub-major Program for Informatics and Digital Technology

In October 2024, Kyushu University launched the Sub-major Program for Informatics and Digital Technology. This program was established in response to the growing societal demand for digital professionals capable of promoting digital transformation (DX) across nearly all industries and infrastructure sectors. Its objective is to foster digital talent that transcends traditional boundaries between the humanities and sciences.

Eligible Students

Undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled at Kyushu University.

Program Structure

Students are recognized as having completed the program in one of three levels—Silver, Gold, or Platinum—based on the number of credits earned from designated courses and their achievement of specific learning outcomes. Upon completion, students receive a digital Open Badge as official proof of achievement.

Note: An Open Badge is a digital credential issued in accordance with international standards. It can be displayed on digital resumes and social media platforms and may be useful for job hunting or career advancement.
