Why did you choose the Graduate School of Information Science and Electrical Engineering?

Since high school, I have been interested in electronic circuits and system design, and I have always dreamed of pursuing advanced studies in this field. When it was time to choose a destination for my higher education, I decided on the Graduate School of Information Science and Electrical Engineering (ISEE) at Kyushu University due to its prestigious academic programs, world-class research standards, and cutting-edge facilities, second to the interest in the research theme I am currently working on.

What can you learn in this department?

My current research focuses on developing next-generation high-performance architectures using superconducting device technology. What I find most fascinating about this work is the opportunity to address the challenges computers might encounter in the coming decades and brainstorm potential solutions. Being involved in such a futuristic field is both exciting and highly motivating.

What is the most memorable part of your student life?

My dream is to contribute to addressing challenges that are difficult to solve with current technologies and to lay the foundation for future technological advancements. I aspire to be directly involved in research on next-generation, sustainable computing technologies that have the potential to impact society significantly.

A message or advice for female junior high and high school students aspiring to join the Graduate School of Information Science and Electrical Engineering.

One of the best pieces of advice I’ve received is, ‘Find what you love and enjoy working on it.’ Kyushu University’s ISEE has provided a great platform for my academic and personal development, making the journey as an international student here incredibly rewarding. My message is to pursue what excites you, approach your studies with curiosity and an open heart, and embrace the ups and downs along the way. Believe in your potential and never hold yourself back?especially to my girls out there!
